We welcome you to Bunnyconnellen, a high country farm with history as a dairy and sheep farm, as well as an olive grove and vineyard, stretching back to the 1800s. Today, Kate and Oliver offer Bunnyconnellen as an exclusive setting for bespoke country weddings.
Couples who marry here are guaranteed exclusive use of the expansive site, including charming onsite accommodation in both the homestead and a cottage.
Photographers rate Bunnyconnellen as a favourite with its endless country backdrops, from historic farm sheds, famed gardens, century-old Moreton Bay figs, the lake (complete with row boat) and the rolling hills of the sheep farm.
The history of Bunnyconnellen
Originally selected for dairying in 1878 when the area was resumed from Gowrie sheep station, “Hillview” was taken up by Frederick and Carolyn Swain, whose family worked the farm for around 60 years. Littletons, Pukallis’s, and Roberts families continued dairying until the mid 1990’s, when the property was purchased by the Simmonds and then the Stewart-Moores.
Today, Bunnyconnellen is one of the Darling Downs most sought-after function and events venues, offering a tranquil setting and beautiful country views.
